Do you need a column with the passlock II functions? I guess that is why you need a 98-99. Your ECM will have to be reflashed to match the new resistor in the column once you install it.

99-2door...............not sure about the passlock II functions........................what i have is a early 99 4x4 frame that has been shortened to fit a 61 shortbed.........i bought the frame with the vortek 350 and the tranny..................i have all of the wiring from the firewall forward including the computer, fuse relay box and the anti-lock brake system....................i am putting a 99 dash into the 61...................sounds like a ambitious project huh?.................i was hoping to eliminate some wiring difficulties by using all new stuff............i rewired the 65 sub. in my avatar and found it to be no fun....................mechanical or body work i can handle but wiring is not my favorite thing to do.............looks like i need to do a little more research..............thanks for the reply.....................hemmit

Sounds like a cool project, I am doing the same with my 67. I am exactly the opposite, I love doing the electrical work. If we were closer we would be a great team. ha
