scammed by chevyguybc

Unfotunately, it has happened on this forum. I had bought a intake and carb from chevyguybc back in December, and still no parts or return of payment. I have contacted him manytimes, and yes he has returned messages, but that is all he has returned.

After he said that the Post Office had lost the package and returned him 100 of the 325 he has not returned my emails since. Must be nice to have my money and the post offices also.

Unfortunately I used Paypal, and after their investigation they could do dick all for me, why even use Paypal?

Hopefully all who read this and ever have future dealings with this guy have second thought about it.

Just my rant, but it still doesnt help getting my parts or money back.
Thanks for listening, Darren.

Re: scammed by chevyguybc

i wouldn't have bought anything from the little prick to begin with. always got the impression that he thought that he was better than everybody else, because he had a big poser truck. probably still living at home with mommy and daddy, with them footing the bill for everything.

It's just plain sad to see this happen, especially with board members.

I look at this board as one big community and would hope that people are honest and helpful.....

Which has been my experience so far, and hope it will always remain that way.

Thats Mail Fruad. File a claim on the USPS website. Save all your emails for proof.

It is my hope anyways that the board stays honest, If it doesnt it will be the death of the whole system.

I will be the first to appologize if there has been any changes to the problem at hand, and hopefully it will be read by the person I am dealing with. Its in his ballpark now, Ill wait and see if he even replies to the message here.

If you email Josh about the situation , Josh will see if he can help you, he has stood up and assisted other members in the past. It is truly a shame when there is a problem like that with the guys and gals here

ChevyGuyBC got kicked off the board by admins. he then made a new user name and got kicked off yet again. i have heard that he has been kicked off other 4x4 forums also. that jackass knew nothing about trucks besides maybe what the steering wheel does. sorry about your loss, maybe we should add more chlorine to the gene pool to get rid of folks like him.

Crappy deal, classicchev.

What sort of carb had you agreed to buy? What kind of carb are you looking for?

I have one or two around here that may be suitable, and I'd try to give you a good deal on them.

Plus, we're both in the same city, so you can see the part before you pay.

what are you talking about? he was a truck genius! he knew it all! he had the biggest baddest truck on here. 39" Firestone All Terrains, and the "big beefy" 1/2 ton axles. he had just the right amount of lift so that his non cut fenders would cut the hell out of his tires every time he made any manuevers other than going straight down the road. pure genius i tell you.

Brand new, still in the boxes Edelbrock RPM, and Edelbrock 650.
Dont really need the stuff anyway, but it was a hell of a deal. I really do need a 383 if someone out there has a extra one.

I wouldn't be needing to reply because I wouldn't owe you anything. I rank cheats and liers right up there with murders.

I bet this punk has been bragging to his punk friends about how he screwed you. People who do this kind of crap need a beating about once a day.

Really sorry he pulled this stunt. Don't let it spoil your outlook on the rest of us.

he did just seem to "pop up" and he had almost 300 posts...was kinda confusing. he seemed to only be on the 4x4 board, though.

Did you pay with credit card or direct from your bank through PayPal?

Seem like I just read the other day that PayPal was involved in some type of litigation involving their failure to give those who used their credit cards to pay via PayPal the same protection that they would have if they had used their credit card directly without going through PayPal.It was on the internet somewhere,I'll see if I can find it.

Good Luck

Tom

Iv'e had lots of transaction on this board and only one had a problem. That bas*ard got kicked out 3 times! Luckily, it was only over $20 and I FORCED him to give it back. How I did that, I can't tell as it might encriminate me. Hehe...

Paid by credit card through paypal. The thing that pisses me off is the way Paypal works. They have access to my credit card, and the other parties card: that is the only way you ccan use the service. They did their halfassed investigation and said " nothing can be done". Maybe Im stupid, but that is a piss poor answer. Why even provide a service, and the protection on purchases if this is their way out Darren
