Watched calvin do mine and I know he used a heat gun and it seems like they were wet but cant remember that for sure
Used a small piece of soft plastic to get the bubbles out.

72afr, get a squirt bottle with a little liquid soap and water, squirt the tailgate and the back of the letters before applying. The soapy water helps so that you can position the letter without it sticking. Use a plastic bondo spreader to smooth the letters and move the water from behind and remove bubbles. Then use a heat gun to dry. Hope this info helps.

Yep thats it..........just one thing that Calvin added was to make sure you had your fingers wet before you peel the backing off to keep them from sticking to your fingers. Take your time/careful.

If you use the heat gun, be careful. They WILL MELT if you get too close, too long.

I just tried windex on an aircleaner decal and it worked great!!

I was putting a 429 ThunderJet sticker on an aircleaner, and I sprayed the air cleaner with windex, then put the sticker on the cleaner, moved it around til it was perfect, then used a new plastic bondo spreader to get the fluid and air out. Once it dried, it looked perfect!!!

I knew you could do this for regular decals, but I did not know that it would work on adheisive backed decals as well!!
