More K20 Progress - Rear Bumper

I got my rear bumper back from the powdercoaters. It is a color they call "chrome". I think it looks pretty good for a GM bumper. GM must have had the trainees welding these things. This is the original bumper so I used it, but I might install an aftermarket chrome one in the future. I know people on the street are going to ask me why I didn't put a chrome one on.

I like it. It gives it a factory, period correct look. That is one of the best looking K20's I've seen.

That's because you're "smarter than the average bear".

Looks like it belongs there to those "in the know" and it's a jury of your peers that matters.

If you do ditch it, PM me, I have a rig that'll be happy to sport it.

Thanks for the comments. I'll probably leave it, but I know people will ask me why I put a non chrome bumper on it.

I'm really down to installing exhaust, tuning and detailing the truck.

I like it!! I think it is a good choice to stay with the HD step bumper and having it powder coated was a good choice also. Makes it still look like a truck.. Not that the sprort bumpers don't, but the step bumpers do more so. Great choice!!! WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I like it like it is but wonder what it would have looked like if he would have put a clear over that. The truck looks great.

It now has a front grille emblem thanks to Wes. Thank Wes!

I thought about the clear even before I had it powdercoated. That is what I did on my brother's Autocar truck. The finish wouldn't have been as heavy duty that way. The bumper does shine more in person. I need to back it outside and take some pics on a sunny day.

Yes, that is a ZR1 nose in the last picture. I'm cleaning it up and getting ready for spring.

Damn, Dean, that truck just brings tears to my eyes.

I'm crossing my fingers and hope to get the engine and trans in my K20 by the end of the month.
