? for those who have used GreyHound for shipping

For those who have used GreyHound to ship an item, did you use standard or Priority (next bus) shipping? If you used standard, about on average how many days did it take the item to ship? Have you ever had problems with damaged items? I sold a headliner out of a 74 C-10 on E-Bay and due to the size of the box (62"x32"x6", 10 lbs) GreyHound is the best shipping option for cost. UPS/FedEx wants upwards of $75-$100 to ship and GreyHound cost only $29-$38 depending on shipping option. Thanks.

I've used them 3 or 4 times to ship large/heavy items. Always pretty quick using standard shipping. Louisiana to Memphis in less than 12 hours, and Louisiana to California in about 3 days. Never had a problem with damage.

My experience has been good with Greyhound. I use the standard shipping. You will want to make sure the clerk at the terminal puts the correct information on the shipping documents.

Any time I have shipped with them, the item had to fit in the luggage compartments under the bus. So I don't think that a cab would be able to be shipped by them. As far as time goes, whatever the schedule of the bus is, thats how long it takes the item to get there. Jeff.

I have had a seat and a dresser shipped via greyhound, both took about a week. The rear seat came from KS and the dresser from OR.
