I personally like single colored vehicles. When you start getting crazy with paint schemes it does two things. It limits the number of people who will be interested in the vehicle if you sell it, and it will also look outdated when the "trend" is over. IMO, single colored cars/trucks will always look good.
Remember, that is just MY opinion.

I gotta second you on that one Jeff, Solid color vehicles will never go outta style. I gotta say all the people that painted flames on their vehicles in the last couple years with eventually regret it when the fad dies out. JMO

i would get the factory style moulding for your year and drop a two tone blue. now that would be tasteful imho.

I say paint it. I'm like you with the solid color stuff. I love it at first, then after a while it looks like a blank canvas waiting for an artist touch. Since I happen to know a few artsist it's not long before things get painted around my house....
BTW- Nice house. I dig the style... |

I like the blue but it does need a little something. It's a little overwhelming.
Go look for a Picture of GMCJunkies 72 (?) Burb. Her's is solid white but has this nice wide pinstripe with a little graphic in it towards the rear. It understated but looks really good and breaks it up a little.

I like flames, but I like them even better when you can't see them at first but then as the truck turns they appear. When/if I get to the point of doing a nice paint job on my truck I'm going to have ghost flames done. I just don't like flames that are loud very much.

I know what you're saying. My truck's also solid blue. It looks great, but a little character would be a welcome addition. I was thinking of a small ribbon of ghost flames( something like the Troy lee Designs one on late Mazdas) that are run allong the upper body line to accent it, or maybe run them in the factory two tone center strip. At a glance you still look the same, but in motion you have a little style. And face it, flames never go out of style.

Hey man I saw your truck Saturday around 10:00 a.m. You were up by diamond shamrock on 59th and cactus. Man that truck is sweet! Me and my dad both like the color and the way it is now.
