window motor 85 k5 blazer

first i thought it was a busted wire leading to the switch. opened it up and sure as hell, the wires were slightly frayed. disconnected everything, re-soddered the clips that came off and hooked it back up. still nothing....passenger side works but not the drivers side. went to the auto shop and got the switch. same thing...passenger side only. next step i guess is to go for the window motor. what kind of a hassle is this gonna be to replace? any tips or tricks that might make this easier for me??
