I want to find and restore a '67 panel.

Q#1: Do these come in long and/or short bed--or is it box?
Q#2: If so, are these frames the same dimentions as pick-ups?
Q#3: Do these come in 1/2 and/or 3/4 ton?
Q#4: How available are these? And at what price? (for a rebuildable, semi reasonable condition body)

I have experience in this kind of thing. I've been tinkering with '67 to '72 trucks since--well since '67 (as a 10 year old helpin' dad) One project I've done was putting a '67 small window cab on a '70 blazer. Found a long stepside bed (so I wouldn't have the cut-out for the spare tire) I never knew what year that bed was. I cut it down to fit and had a sweet little shorty, right up 'till the wife wrecked it.

Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated.

There were only about 5000 67 panels made by Chevy, figure about 1/3 of that made by GMC, they come in both 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton and 4x4

They are the same as a burb basically, except there is no side door and no windows.

Good luck finding one, it might take a few years.

Welcome to the forum from central Ohio.
The truck you seek may be hard to find, even harder to find in restoable condition...and pretty much imposible to get if you are in the rust belt.

#1 long wheelbase only 127 in
#2 yes, but some minor differences,gas tank location seems like it is slightly different because the guys that install Blazer,'Burb,Panel tanks have to modify or remove a minor crossmember.
#3 yes 67 Panel delivery 3,827 C10 , 30 K10
67 " " 940 C20 , 8 K20 per Red Book
#4 The numbers should give you a idea of how many are out there.

Some things to keep in mind are that Panels were mostly sold as delivery or work vehicles.This means whoever would work for the least $$$ drove them and It wasn't their ride = MAJOR ABUSE.
They are prone to rust in all the normal places.I saw one about 2 years ago on E-bay that had been restored to stock that was listed for $13,500.00. I have only ever seen 7 of them.(I bought three) 1 67 1 68 1 69.Weatherstrip and window rubber are available but there isn't any sheetmetal for the upper sides available so make sure they are good.Most of the rest can be repaired with modified patch panels for the pick-ups.I have never seen a canopy express but there may be some out there.The floor pans are somewhat a hybred but can be redone by mixing pick-up parts and some creative woodworking.Also any year body can be set up with a 67 front clip so don't be choosy about year.Most panels were 6 cyl 3 on the tree, but some v-8's are out there whether they be conversions or factory.

Thanks, guys. That clears up some things for me. It sounds like it may be more dificult to find what I'm looking for than I thought. That will make it all the more better when I do. BTW, I live in Utah, the birthplace of rust (SALT Lake City)

Just hooked a guy up with one here in town that a guy has had behind his shop for several years. It was running when he parked it and belonged to a longtime frined of mine. The worst part of the rust is along the bottom quarters. I'm thinking that bedsides would work to fix it.

I know of one in Buffalo, MN that hasn't moved for 7 years that I bet you could get if you were serious. Its the same color as the one above but I would have to get close to see how the body is. I'm headed out that way today if you'd like me to stop in and ask about it i will.
