Mirrors

I am putting new doors on my '73 Chevy stepside and I am needing to drill the holes for my mirrors. Does anybody have any pictures of the stock mirrors that came on it? I got the pickup from my dad and they aren't the stock mirrors and was wanting to replace the mirrors I have with the stock ones.

I believe there are two different kinds of stock mirrors for your '73.

Tje sport mirrors and the 3-point mirrors...which ones are you wanting to put on?

Here is my 73 with the sport mirrors...

I think I like the 3 point best. Do you know where there are any available?

I am pretty sure you can get them at any auto parts chain...I also see them on e-bay every once in a while. Junkyards should have some too.

I believe they are pretty universal in fit.

Sorry for high jacking the thread. But I have a question for you Bigblock. How come my 76 K10 has gas filler doors and your has just the gas cap in the bed side its-self? Mine is just a stock 76K10 dual tank CA truck. Is yours a 3/4 or something else or was it some sort of option? Thanks.

I don't know.

I thought they went to doors in 77 or 78.

The 76 I had had wood floors, I wonder if the bed sides are different for them, thus leaving me with that style of gas filler?

Hey the 70's were good to some and hard to others. Wonder what the workers were doing those days on the assembly line??
