has anyone ever fiberglassed our year model dash?

Hey I was just wasdering if anyone has any info on how to glass a dash or if anyone has updated our model of glassed it if anyone has any info let me know

That's weird.... I had a brain wave like that I couple of days ago and since then have tryed to jam as much info on fibreglass into my brain that I can. I've never seen this done before so that's what's motivating me on this. From what I can tell it's not as hard as you would think. This coming up fall I going to build a heated shop and start messing around with the stuff. If all goes well, I'm going make every piece I can out of fibreglass and paint in a gloss black......I hope. Time will tel I guess. There's a forum on fibreglass that I'm on .... you can go to www.fibreglast.com. It's very helpful but those guys seem pretty edgy when you ask them simple questions ( must have inhaled to many fumes) hahahaha.

I used to build houseboats in VA. We made the bridge out of glass. You will want to look at getting some sort of gel coat covering that is flexible, otherwise the glass will probably crack. It's pretty easy to lay on, if you don't mind losing a few brain cells. It's really, really toxic stuff!

Most of the stuff you have seen in the magazines just sand it and spread the resin over it and sand it down.

i was just wandering can u sand jusst the resin or how would u do that what kind of sand paper and what knot to sand the resin because it gets a hard as a rock when dry
