Qjet Linkage

Changed from a 2 brl to Qjet on my 68 C20. The intake and qjet came from another 68 327. The rod linkage from the 2 brl does not seem to fit properly. The carb bracket has three holes, two near the top and one lower and toward the rear. All three holes are less than 1/4" diameter. The bottom hole has a lip on both sides. I don't have a digicam to show photo.

Does the rod go on the inside or outside of the carb bracket? What type of connector should be used to keep the rod in place? The one that was on the 2brl does not work on the qjet. Are the rods for a 2brl and qjet different length or shape?

Thanks, Bob

The q-jet will need a longer rod. You can buy one off of the board, but I have made them using 1/4" rod, threading and bending to suit.

Here is a picture of a similiar installation. As you can see the rod is on the outside and the adjustable pivot sticks through the upper hole. it is held on with a cotter pin.
