Headers
Man, I forgot why I hate Headers until today.
I have been rewiring my project 72 Chev with a Painless Wiring harness, and the 350 has headers from the P/O. It is virtually almost impossible to get at the starter solinoid to remove and hook up new wires. I almost had to remove the header to do it. Also, there is one spark plug that I have no idea how I am going to get it off. The spark plug socket wont even fit on it before hitting the header pipe*&*^$$!!!

Not sure how much clearence you've got, but I'm pretty sure I'v used a box end wrench before to get a spark plug out. Good luck with the starter wiring, no ideas there.

You might need a universal for your ratchet or a swivel type ratchet depending on the header.

I have to use a 5/8 open end wrench to get one plug out...it's well worth it IMO though.
Be happy your PO got those headers, my last set were some $99 crappy headers, and I was only able to get ONE plug with the socket...the other 7 I had to use a wrench. |
