71 or 72 long fleet in Groundhog Day movie

Was watching Groundhog Day with Bill Murray last night for about the 5th or 6th time. This was the first time I had seen the movie since I got my 72 pickup a year or so ago. I noticed the truck he ran off the cliff in with the groundhog at the wheel was a 71 or 72 fleetside long bed. It's funny how I never paid any attention to the model of truck until I owned one.

If you go frame by frame on ground hog day, you'll see they shove an engine-less beater over the cliff.
Not that it makes us feel all THAT much better[/i]...at least it wasn't a short bed.

Supposedly the truck from "Snow Dogs" is up for sale around here. I haven't seen the movie (and don't plan to)....

There were quite a few in Snow Dogs. (Had to watch it with my son...1/2 way decent movie, but I still say Disney is going down hill)

"72 Chev pickup, as seen in Disney movie Snow Dogs, rebuilt 350, rusty cab, rustfree box, posi-trac rear end, $950 obo "

Found it! hmmm....looking at it again, this could simply be one that's similar to a truck in Snow Dogs and not an actual movie vehicle. That means I can say mine's as seen in the movie "Goundhog Day"

Actually, doesn't sound like a bad truck except that it's out of town.
