Cool Truck

Sorry this is all I can find so far. Looks like another cool ride from Hills Hotrods.

I like what was done to the bumper. I have been planning on doing something similar myself.

Very nice looking truck!!

Looks like the bumper was shaved and tucked for sure...license plate provision was whacked as well. Not positive, but it might also be shortened (width wise)...fenders were modded as well to make it all flow.

Thanks for sharing!

Very nice. Doesn't someone sell those bumpers without the bolt heads? I think I've seen those for sale somewhere.

Looks sweet. Jason Hill strikes again. I think he is trying to be the King of 73-87's. Too bad they all "have" to have the late model Burb grill.

It's the LS1 powered Blazer he has been working on...

its a shortbed, so no possibility of being a true dually.

the bumper on the Blazer looks funny to me. the profile of it just isnt right. is it an 88-98?

I got to talk to Jason about 6 months ago when I was trying to figure out backspacing for the 22's I was ordering for my '79 project. He helped me out and was happy to do so, he has a STRONG devotion to our trucks!! At the time he mentioned two projects that would open some eyes...I'm guessing the K5 is one and this is the other......

Call me crazy, but I think the 88-91 single headlight Blazer/Burb front ends look much better than the quad H/L front ends of the same era.

They look too "busy" to me.

It's a real dually. The pic I posted was cropped to focus an the Blazer in the background.

The bumper on the Blazer has been extended on top. It had a section added on the top to minimize the gap between the bumper and the grill. Wanna guess why I know this?

The bumper looks as if it has been raise up pulled inwards and shortened up. Pretty typical around here but always looks great.

its just the angle of the pic...I can tell by the top rails and the inner wheel well placement it is a long bed.

That, and the fact that the fenders are moved waaaay up make it look out of proportion

Look in the first pic I posted Brad. In the background you can see the back half of the Blazer you posted. Yes it has a full top, and it's slicked out. I had heard that he was planning on using the back of a Burb roof to create a metal top. I can't tell from the pic if he did or not....

I think he did, I don't see a body line (where the top usually starts).

Progress has been slow and steady. I think when you see it all the time you just don't see it. Kind of like your child growing up. It's happening but not always evident. The plan is to roll it out early next year so it needs to be done this year.

He won best of show at the trucking nats and truckin mag is going to come here to Lubbock to do a shoot for the cover. Hill should have some pics up soon on their web site but if you have any more questoins about the blazer I could try to tell you what I Know.
