BBC long vs short water pump; what year was the switch?
Hey all. Like a super genius I forgot to check if my 454 had a long or short pump before I got rid of the engine. I kept the brackets, which I plan to sell but I'd like to know which pump they work with. It was a '77 454.
Does anyone know if all 454's used in trucks in '77 were long or short? Many thanks, Greg

73 and up trucks were long water pumps. 72 and back were short
water pumps on the big block trucks. Jim |
