gasket between NP205 transfercase and adapter

Is there a special gasket that goes between the adapter and transfer case on a np205? I just got done swaping out the 10 spline input, for the 27 spline input, but the new adapter doesn't fit tight aginst the t-case. It looks like the input shaft bearing is holding it back.

You swapped out a manual for an auto? The adapters are different for those transmission/transfer cases. The manual one is longer than the auto. As for the gasket, I just used RTV silicone on top of what was left there, hasn't leaked a drop.

I changed the adapter also. There is a small gap between the adapter and the t-case after I tighten the bolts up.
