3/4 ton rear axle
What were the common axle ratios that came in a 72 C20? It is a big unit that the gears come out of the front.
Was there something like 4.11:1? in that rear end? or was that ratio only in 10 and 12 bolt rear ends?

4.10 and 4.56 were available from GM. There is a 3.90 available aftermarket.

the 4.10 and 4.56 were all that was available for the dana 60 rearend in 4x4s, BB 3/4 tons had 3.42 gears.
the eaton ho52, which he is talking about, had 4.11, 4.57, and 5.14 from the factory. however, 3.90 was aftermarket...and was/is the only one made. dana 60's have a lot of aftermarket gears available. i have the same setup as you...d44/d60...originally 4.10s, but the p/o swapped them out for 3.73, which helps wth gas mileage. i am not sure of all the others, but I know Ford had a 3.54 available in 4x4 d60's.
