hauling a motor?

Anyone haul a motor in their Blazer with the backseat in? I need to haul home a 351W F*#d motor for a friend and am wondering if it will fit alright. Thanks

I've hauled many a motor in mine, but I don't think my back seat is on the same place as stock. I've used both a tire and a special box to haul them. I think most small block v8's (don't know, or care, about ford) are shorter front to back than side to side w/headers or manifolds. If you can lay a 33" tire back there, you should be OK.

I can't lay my spare 35" tire down, it's standing up against the seat. It looks like it might fit. It won't be in there long, only a few hours for the ride home and I'll wrap it with plastic to keep things safe

You could always leave the tailgate down. I've strapped lots of stuff to it and run that way. Mak sure the hatch closes, though. Besides, unless it's a 351 Windsor, you might lose that Ford along the way...

It's a 351 Windsor like you said and I'd like to keep it all shut cause it's about a 6 hour ride home. I'll have to do some measuring this weekend now that the truck is back on the road again. Thanks for the replies!
