1 more wiring question - Wiper Motor - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Thanks to all that helped with horn and brake lights. Here is the last wiring ? (hopefully).

My wiper motor does not turn on in either slow or fast postion. It will turn on when the knob is pressed for the washer pump. I have tried another switch and it behaves the same. Am I lloking at replacing the motor? Or what else should I test?

Good one Jeff!

The motor is good, otherwise it would not run. Since the windshield wiper switch "grounds" the motor to make it run and the washer circuit is different, I would check the switch to make sure it is grounded.

As a check you can use a ground wire to go direct to the motor which would bypass the switch and wiring.
