Wire Harness

Well it is about time to swap out my cab so that leaves me needing a new wire harness for under the dash. The owner before me hacked away at all of the wires so pretty much nothing works. Just thought it would be better to start over. My question is who sell the best one are they all the same? I was looking to buy a stock one but has anyone used other brands like Painless and if so did you like it. Thanks for any help.

I installed a Painless kit in my 1930 Model A and never had any problems. I also helped popeye72 install one in his 72 shortbed and his went well also. I'm going to use the same kit in my wife's stepside.

I recently put a painless one in my '70 and I couldn't be happier with it. It was a long tedious job, but it was well worth the effort. The more time you spend doing right the first time, the less you'll have to work on it later. I got mine from summit I think it was just under $300, which was the cheapest I found. You'll have to call them or you can find it online, as it is not in their catalog. Have fun

If you go used, make sure you specify year (67/68 are slightly different), transmission, 3 speed, 4 speed, and autos are different, and gauges or idiot lights.
