well i did it.
well i sold my 60 chevy, so i will be putting a new clutch in my 84, an hopefully converting it to a dually..but i checked the air pressure it the rear tire.they take 80 pounds, they had 35, so it only squats down about 3 inches now...but the down side is it now rides like a truck i knew there had to be a good reason why it rode so smooth for a 3/4 truck..... so i'll keep ya posted on how it goes.....

My 1986 C20 crew cab has LT235/85R16 tires that are a load range 'E'. This tire is rated at being able to carry 3042 pounds when inflated to its maximum of 80 psi. I suspect southern is running something similar. DJS |

my friend who owns a tire shop said i could go up to 85 in them....they say on the tire 80. sure rides rough though..i really hate the tires that are on the truck but they only had a few thousand miles on them when i bought the truck....they are called liberator, they suck in the snow, mud...they do all right on the high way, but they will be gone b4 next winter gets here......
