leaf spring size - 52 or 56

I've got an '89 suburban 1/2ton 2wd. I think I have 56" rear springs. When I measured them, it looks like 56", but wasn't exact. Can somebody tell me which trucks have 52 and which have 56? Is there some place to look that up??

Easiest way to tell is measure like you did. If it was close to 56, they are probably 56. One thing to check is the distance from the axle locator pin on the spring pack. On 52" springs it's in the center. On 56" springs it's 26" from the front spring eye and 30" to the rear as the difference in length was added to the rear of the spring.
