I pieced together a DIY kit on this to save some money.

It is a Vintage Air Gen II evaporator: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ustomerReviews

Hose kit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/20223073898...Bk9SR5CZirfXZA

Universal condenser: https://www.ebay.com/itm/305517518009
It's a little flimsy so I will be adding another universal bracket to attach to the core support.

Sanden compressor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e?ie=UTF8&th=1

Re: 1970 C10 ChassisFab Build Thread

Sorry for not many updates. The entire truck has been media blasted, and I am continuing on with cab rust repair.

This is the Vannatta 5-piece firewall kit all welded up. I'm really liking the bead roll pattern on it.

nick, nice job on the liner for the bottom of the bed. wondering what you did as far as prep & cleaning before you sprayed? I am fixing to do the inside bed on my 1986 C10 & just wanted to get info. from real world experience. thanks!! I know a lot of YT videos and such.. just wanted to see what you did...

Re: 1970 C10 ChassisFab Build Thread

Thank you mate I appreciate it. I ended up getting the whole truck sandblasted for around 3k here in Oregon. It was a tough pill to swallow but having all of the metal ready for epoxy primer and then paint saved so much time.

If that's not in the budget a wire wheel and 80 grit sandpaper would also do just fine. That's how I did my frame.

Re: 1970 C10 ChassisFab Build Thread

nick, thanks for the reply... i figured the latter recommendation would be the "go to" i am planning on the 80/120 grit followed by red scuff pad & then do the liner.... any bare spots i will prime beforehand.....

thanks for the reply!! continue the good work!!
