Re: '67 step-side replacement rear bumper

I got my steering column shift/power booster dilemma figured out. I cut a slit in the lower shift lever and bent it just far enough to clear the booster when the shift lever is in park. I then cut a piece of sheet metal to fill as a brace. I welded it and then checked it again for clearance. I was hanging over the radiator support and grille while I was welding. Not fun.

I also got the shift linkage in and got that all bolted up as well as the transmission cooler. I still need to bleed my brakes, they are at about 80%...

Today was a very good day. I can now move my truck in and out of the shop on it's own power. Now granted the TV cable isn't installed yet as I'm still waiting on a special Holly bracket so I can hook the throttle and TV cable up with the correct geometries. I know I can't drive it yet, but soon...

very, very soon...
