Trip Odometer Conversion
After seeing a thread on here a month or two ago about a speedo with a trip odometer, I thought I'd give it a try. I think they're useful, especially if you drive alot. Instead of the reset knob coming out the front of the speedo dial, I used a cable and mounted the knob like the speed warning set knobs are. It was relatively simple to do, and my stock 1970 speedo head had all the holes drilled already for the trip odometer parts. I used an ebay donor speedo for the parts, and the cable is a reproduction. No non-GM parts were used. I just installed it yesterday and have already put 22 miles on it testing it out.
