Opinions or ideas needed

I've got my new to me 205 installed, and now I need to figure out just what to do with the drive shaft. The way it sits right now, it's going to hit the cross member that housed the old carrier bearing. The way it sits, it's about a 12 degree slope from the tailshaft to the pinion on the rear end. I figure I have two options, 1 would be to lower the cross-member holding up the tcase, or 2 just modify the cross member to provide some clearance. Any ideas of what I should do would be greatly appreciated.
