NP205/Transmission Adapter Measurements Request

I will be installing an NV4500 transmission in my K10, and my plan is to fabricate an adapter bracket for it to allow it to bolt to the stock transmission crossmember mounts. Do any of you by chance have a stock SM465 or TH350 NP205-to-transmission adapter available for taking a couple of measurements for me, please? I'm looking for the following two dimensions:

A) The vertical distance from the crossmember mounting surface to the centerline of the transmission output shaft

B) The horizontal distance from the transfer case attachment surface to the centerline of the crossmember mount bolts

Thank you.

If you don’t get anything before the weekend, I can get you what you are looking for on Friday night or Saturday.

That would be great. Thank you. I am just in the planning stage right now.

The first dimension is 7.85"

The second is 3.36" but the two surfaces are not perpendicular (see pic). The straight edge is hard to see in the pic, it is laying flat on the bottom transmission mount surface and then the square is resting on that. When the whole thing is assembled, transmission, adapter and transfer case, it gives a slight upward slant towards the engine BUT leaves the trans mount point parallel to the frame rails. I have the adapter because.....I installed an NV4500 earlier this year. Round NP205 TO NV4500.

Thanks! I did not realize that those two surfaces aren't perpendicular. Interesting. I am installing a round NP205 as well. How did you go about attaching your NV4500 to the crossmember?

Re: NP205/Transmission Adapter Measurements Request

I used the stock TH350 trans rubber mount and then welded up a "stand off" that is 4.75 tall. At that height I have about .25 to .375 from the floor to the transfer case top. Here is a bad picture of it.

Re: NP205/Transmission Adapter Measurements Request

Use the search function at the top of the page. Lots of NV swap info's. Here is mine.

Would you be able to take another measurement for me, please? I'm looking for the distance from the transfer case mounting surface to the center of the shifter lever mount. I've labeled it "C" in the image below.

Yes I can get that but not until tomorrow.

The measurement from the rear face of the adapter to the CENTER of the shifter pivot is 2.745"

Re: NP205/Transmission Adapter Measurements Request

PM if you are in need of a good non-cracked adapter.

Re: NP205/Transmission Adapter Measurements Request

Thanks so much for the measurement. I am working on attaching an NP205 to an NV4500 and I made a custom bracket for the transfer case shift lever based on the mounting position that is on the TH400 adapter that came with this round-pattern transfer case. The shift lever ended up leaning way forward, so now it is apparent to me that the shift lever attachment point was in a different place for 67-72 trucks vs. 85-91 trucks. I will be moving the attachment point back on my bracket to match your measurement. The photo below of the complete setup is even after I moved the attachment point back 5/16". I need to move it back an additional 1/4" or so.
