I'm not trying to say the Teflon tape doesn't work. I've seen the tape get cut up because of the threads. With something that flows as easy as air, those tears may allow air to pass faster than the liquid. I'm also not saying the liquid will fix all problems, as I still have a problem with one bag. Just a suggestion to possibly help. As for temperature, it might have a slight effect on the overall height, but we've had 30 and 40 degree highs for a couple of weeks and back to 60 and 70 degree highs for a few days, then cold again. I haven't had to touch the 3 bags that sealed well since mid January. I have filled the one leaky bag twice in that time. The slow leak may not be in the bag fittings either. I don't know how your air management plumbing is set up so I can't speak to the other parts of your system. I have heard that if your air line isn't cut perfectly straight, it could cause leaks in a push-to-connect style fitting. It's really hard to chase a slow leak like that so if you're okay with it, I'd leave it alone. Looking forward to seeing the body come together! It sounds like you're moving right along nicely. Keep it up!

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
The first measurements were my error. They've been aired up now, I put a small mark so I can measure from the exact spot and I kneeled down to see for sure. The front has stayed up. The rear, 1 side dropped 1/16" and the other side 1/8". I made clean cuts with an exacto-knife, however, I put a small chamfer on the insides incase of any burrs. I'll recut the rears without chamfering to see if that helps.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
I just looked at my first post on this thread, I almost forgot what this truck looked like when I first got it. Crazy, doesn't even look like the same truck anymore. Ha!

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
What are you doing about lock up on the trans? Are unusing a togel switch for the converter?

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
I'm in the same boat as you right now. I haven't wired it up yet. I plan on doing that today. I won't be using a switch though, just wired. I'll post up how I do it once I get it done. I hear it's simple.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
I'm learning this as I go. I think if it's just wired, it's just a power & ground hook up and it locks up just in 4th. I think some people hook a switch up for 3rd gear lockup or for towing? I believe you can do a manual switch or vacuum switch.
I'm in the middle of finishing up my exhaust, I'll be getting online tonight to read up more on this.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
I have been working on getting my exhaust to exit out the rear behind the tires. I think I need to bring the piping up higher and come back down with the tips. I have some more bends on order, will be here Monday, so I moved back to working on the bedsides. I'm getting the inside lower parts sprayed with bedliner. Got one done last night, about to start on the other one. I'll have pics of them later tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
Thanks. Since I was 17, I've had an 86 Camaro, 87 mustang, 98 sierra, 93 mustang, and 01 Silverado and all I had dumped before the axle. So, this build I wanted to do something different. I think it's going to turn out cool.

Subscribed.
I've always liked truck with the old "Chevelle" Style exhaust. (Kinda aimed down) That'd look killer

Re: Project "Captain Insano"
I got one side of the exhaust finished. I brought it up out of sight, then back down. I have more bends coming in tomorrow for the other side.
I had this wild idea that I would be ready to paint the insides of the bed, fenders, and doors, but I didn't realize the passenger fender was so beat up.
