I agree. There should be no wires near that thing.

I don't think it the actual handle, but where the cable passes through the firewall for the handle that is the problem. Like I said, I have to research that one a little.

Ahh ya that may be it. Haven't looked under there in a while, but that makes sense.

On a 67/68 maybe the cable can be moved over a few inches?

OK boys, here is what I will do. From now until the end of February, I will ship for this kit for free. That is another $20+ dollars off depending on where you live, or roughly another 5%. I will add the free shipping to the online store Friday to allow everyone to purchase online at their convience. Just remeber this ends on Feb 28

Great deal man thanks. As we all know every little bit helps in redoing these trucks.

Re: American Autowire Update wire harness kits finally here!!!

Hi Mike

Hey, I'm doing a frame up restore so right now I have NO wiring on my 1972 blazer....none at all.

Is this harness a full replacement front to rear and does it work on TBI conversions.

I was at the website and didn't see the "free shipping" but I didn't click to order yet either.....need to make sure this is exactly what I'm looking for.

Free shipping will be displayed when you decide what shipping method you want. It is a full vehicle replacment kit with the couple exceptions I mentioned in this thread. You will still need the TBI harness but there is a location to hook the power into the fuse box as well as a fuse for the fuel pump. I strongly recommend using a relay kit on the fuel pump as well which we can provide from AAW as well. I think they are round $40.

I don't have it set up yet, but I can extend it to those as well if you want one. Let me know.
