What all have you done to your motor? I am building a 468 for my half ton. I would love to see what all you have done.

Re: Lets see that exhaust!

I've only had the original 40 series in my trucks and i like how they sound, i haven't tried anything else. My 454 sbc had headman headers with 3'' pipe turned out before the wheels with the mufflers almost right under the cab. It was a little too loud. Now im gonna go with 2.5'' and turndowns right before the diff and see how that sounds.

thanks, no problem heres a quick run down , I started with a .060 over 454 block, changed the rotating assembly with a 4.25" stoke crank , .250" longer rods and keith black #kb284 9.5:1 pistons, the cam is a Comp # CL11-254-4 , I had a set of 781 heads on it first with 2.250 intakes fully ported and shaved it ran great , but I bought a set of gm performance aluminum oval ports (same head that the zz502 has) changed the springs out for the comp cam # 930 springs that were for the cam, push rods are .100" long with roller rockers,I smoothed the ports out a bit and stuck them on ,the intake is a edelbrock airgap with a 850 vacuum sec holley , I was just goin to refesh the old stock 454 but my boss said how bout ya build a stroker about 30 times , he put a zz502 in his 72 chevy and I didnt have the funds for that so this is the way I went , its a bit much for everyday drivin but should make a great cruiser
