The hubcaps you have are stock for 71 & maybe '72 trucks. The '73 caps are flat dog dish style?

No, the 71-72 caps had blue bowties. The 73-75 caps had yellow bowties. The flat caps didn't come out until 76. I have 3 books to back me up on this encluding the original 1972 sales brochure...

Yes, 1/2 ton 4X4s are 6 lug. They either used the axles or the entire chassis from a 1/2 ton truck for the conversion.
