Oh well, another one bites the dust. Don't get me wrong I'd take an LS1 six speed combo in my truck any day, but I think I'll stick with the hot rodded 250 just to be different. Acutally, I'd sooner put the LS1 combo in my Z28. I'll be the first to say I'd love to ditch the 3 spd for at least a 4 spd.

I need a more reliable daily driver and work truck. I'll still be different because hardly anyone drives a '68 C-10 stepside for hundreds of miles from here and out of the people driving them, hardly anyone has a GenIII motor in theirs, if anything they have an older SB or BB V8.

I'm okay with it. I have a couple of spares if I ever want to go back, but I doubt I will.

I'll miss the simplicity of the 250, but ... I'll enjoy the performance, better gas mileage and having the shifter on the floor.
