wooden bed floor kits?

Manufacturing the wood is easy, the challange is finding nice wide boards in the material of choice. GMC pauls website is great info on teh bedwwod. Anyone with a little skill and a tablesaw can make there own wood. If anyone has any questions, i probably can answer them for you.

I have never pulled one of these beds apart, but I was under the impression that the edges were routed to accomidate the metal strips... am I incorrect?
