Re: OK Let's See Stock '68 327 Air Cleaners!
What I am curious about, as I am trying to gather the parts for a correct looking '68 engine bay, is the direction the snout on the air cleaner points. The 2 barrel unit on my truck now points to the right side of the truck, and the 4-barrel cleaner I am planning to buy off a board member also points of to the right (and I think is off a '72), but a lot of the air cleaner, both 2 and 4 barrel I've seen on this board point to the left.
So, to recap: Manual tranny 1/2 ton trucks had AIR system and no Thermac valve on the snout; and Auto tranny 1/2 tons had the Thermac valve on the snout and a heat stove on the exhaust; and both tranny types had PCV. Right??? I'm confused!!!
