Re: tundra style roll-down rear window?

I had thought of this a while ago too... I walk through the parking lot on the way to my car after work seeing what ideas can be brought over to the truck... Also looked at the 4Runner for the tracks and motor parts ...

I have a door handle off a 2000 Lincoln LS... I've had it for almost 2 yrs.. then I saw in a magazine that someone had them on an early 80's custom Suburban....

Re: tundra style roll-down rear window?

I've wanted to do this modification also. Here is a couple of pictures of a truck I saw at a local show a year or two ago. Although it's pretty sweet, I want much more of the stock window (big window) appearance, this looks pretty inset quite a ways.

Pimp My Ride did this to the S10 truck they put the pool table in the back. They fabbed it up from scratch using an asembly used for limo dividing windows.

Re: tundra style roll-down rear window?

CRL used to sell the full roll down windows, I bought one for a 77 in the early 90's. They were discontinued not long after. It took up quite a bit of room behind the seat. Not good for tall drivers.

Re: tundra style roll-down rear window?

n2billet has a truck in his shop right now that has a power roll down rear window. I asked him to post some pictures of the rear window at some point. Go check it out.

The same company that makes the one piece window kits has talked with CRLawrance and is going to start making the same basic rear window roll down kit for the 73-87 soon, not sure about the 67-72 though.
