DC3 on Chevy Truck wheels.

Found this on one of the Warbird sites I visit, DC3 with 76 1/2 ton front suspension for landing gear!!! Like a Rock

I ran across that one several years ago as well while reading up on DC-3s. I have had a thing for DC-3s ever since I was a ramp monkey for a few that were being used for air cargo in the 1980s. I got to spend an afternoon flying around the Texas countryside in one once, including about 10 minutes of flying time, and I was hooked...

Very interesting and impressive promotion for a commercial. I don't ever remember seeing it on TV.
...Airplane Tough.

(Now we need them to section the crossmember, swap out the stock springs with air springs and use drop spindles... and give it another tryout. )
