Re: Chip Foose saved my back!

The ripping foam pieces depends on the rim design. We use a mini at work and have ripped a little foam off it on certain wheels. Just watch how crazy you're going and you'll be fine.

A couple customers have seen us using the powerball and have commented that they own the Flitz Buff and Polish Ball and it doesn't break apart at all on wheels. It's a little more expensive and has been on the market longer than the Powerball. When it gets dirty, they just throw it in the washing machine and it comes out good as new.

Re: Chip Foose saved my back!

I wonder if it would work on my slot mags. I am guessing they have never been polished in the 35 years or so they have been on the truck. I bought a nylon brush for my Dremel and was going to use that, but it only does about a half inch at a time

At least I know the slots wouldn't tear the ball.

Re: Chip Foose saved my back!

I don't know if anyone on here has used or seen this product but I won't use anything else anymore.

This stuff is absolutely amazing!!(No I don't sell it) You can do this easily by hand and it comes out amazing!! I used to use it on my Welds "once" a year and the wheels looked awesome the rest of the year.

And that's on a DAILY DRIVER in Washington (RAIN RAIN RAIN)!! This stuff leaves a coating behind that keeps the wheels protected.

The wheels on the 78 started out like this

and after a handpolish with this stuff look like this

A local Diesel Rig builder service shop orders it in cases and that's where I get it from. No kidding this stuff is better than anything I have ever used and way easier!! They use it to polish those big POLISHED ALUMINUM dump boxes!

Re: Chip Foose saved my back!

You can make a paste with this:

And use it with a Powerball to polish glass and dull plastic headlamps.
