Re: Pics of my new interior!
Can I have a ballpark estimate of what that work cost. It looks awesome and have no idea what something like that will cost?

Re: Pics of my new interior!
There's a lot of things involved that will affect price. For me it was that I tore into it, prepped it, did the fatmat, did the carpentry and had already bought all the parts I wanted installed. (it took several years btw) It was clear what I wanted, and this helped so the shop could focus on the details.
Even so, my interior was not cheap, but what I paid was fair. Even if you do part of the work you should expect to lay down at least $1500 for a professional shop to do a full custom interior - for us in socal. On the other hand the more simple the work, the less the cost. A few hundred dollars can get you a carpet kit from one of the board vendors and you can put it in over a weekend. |

Re: Pics of my new interior!
No, the seats only fold/slide forward. I really would of liked to make it like original but couldn't this time around.

i kept hunting for saab 9-3 convertible seats, but they are pretty difficult to find. they would be just about perfect if you can find some. they have a release lever built into the top of the seatbelt mount. like the ones below. there are many other makes that have similar convertible seats, so you might keep a lookout.

New Shoes!
I'll post better pics later, but this is the only one I have now. I took as we were leaving the tire shop. Couldn't get the front center caps to fit but after some grinding they are on now. I'm real happy - what do you guys think?

Re: Pics of my new interior!
Thanks for all the compliments. I've been having a great time with it driving her all over, making up excuses to go places and give people rides. Weather here has been great too, almost makes me forget the high price of gas - almost.

Re: Pics of my new interior!
Do you know what years that the suburbans had that removable rear seat like that? I just bought some '97 yukon front seats and had planned to do a similar rear seat upgrade.

Re: Pics of my new interior!
I can't remember for sure, but I think it was 97-99 subs that had this third row seat. I got mine from a 99 sub, and I bought the floor mount brackets off ebay. Let me know if I can help out with anything else.

Re: Pics of my new interior!
Bonspeed Huntingtons. I think they are great. Got them pretty quick too. Only issue was the front, had to grind down the center hub on my truck to get the center wheel cap on.

Re: Pics of my new interior!
Not to hijack the thread, but I have a 3rd seat out of a 91 burb. It is removable also.

Re: Pics of my new interior!
and the ones out of the later model burbs have the seatbelts built in, so when you remove it, they come out with it...
