It looks like the rust has spread the trailing arm apart and now it's rubbing inside the bracket. Not a safe situation. Good eyes Richard H. Now I'm going to look at mine.

There's a place out of NC (I think) that sells the boxed trailing arms (of of Nascar cars) for around $100. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find it.

I hate to disagree with everyone....
killer, look in there with a flashlight, and see if it is actually rust, or see if someone has already been in there trying to weld. That ooks like a crappy weld job to me. Either way, it needs redone/done. |
