I’ve been hanging on this alternator for a long time, now I just may have a use for it!
My concern is the plug on the alternator any ideas? It has 4 terminals on the connector.
I’ll go to u-pull-it next week and get a connector but not sure what terminal does what tho.
Rage-n Rat- was yours a CS 130? I’ve noticed there’s some differences in the wiring dealing with the external regulator. There is a picture showing all 4 wires being jumped and this one shows only the two external ones only. I think I’ll make my own. I just need to know what need to be done.
Thanks

notice This Picture Is Incorrect

ANOTHER MEMBER MADE HIS OWN JUMPER AND WE FOUND OUT THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT JUMPER PATTERN IN THIS PICTURE I CHECKED THE CUSTOM MADE JUMPER PACKAGE FROM FRANK WITH A METER AND BELOW IS THE CORRECT JUMPER PATTERN

#1 the Two Outside Wires Are Supposed To Be Jumpered Together

#2 the Two Inside Wires Are Jumpered Together

Re: ***omg...94 Amp Alt. On Your Trucks***

On the jumpers in the 4 pin connector, when you jump the red and white wires together, where do the white wire lead from the connector. I have seen the conversion without jumping the two insides and terminating the white wire. I am planning on doing the switch this weekend and wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly.

Anyone? I'm running mine with just the two outer wires jumpered. So I'm curious what function the two inners provide?

Re: ***omg...94 Amp Alt. On Your Trucks***

This is a great thread! Thank you guys, this is exactly what I need, I was wondering if any of you guys know if I could take my Chrome alternator in to have it rebuilt to put out 140 amps? I hate to replace it with a cast looking one, or have to spend alot more money on a new Chrome one.

Re: ***omg...94 Amp Alt. On Your Trucks***

Is the 84 Camaro alternator a 3 wire setup ?

I have a 77 GMC and it has a 3 wire alternator (1 screw terminal + 2 prong flat plug) so I'm wondering if it will be a direct plug in and bolt up.
