A bright floor and walls help...absolutley..... I recommend plumbing your air through out the shop...and if you can..mount you comp. outside. Keep the noise down a bit...and frees up that much space. Hanging air lines and nice too. Workbenchs are important....set ups, disassemblys (dirty) benches, new parts, assembly area (clean) bench, etc. Shelving under the work benches are a must as well
