Re: 20 inch wheels with 5/7 drop
The issue we all have when running large wheel and tire combos up front is not the fender or lip, it's the inside of the wheel well. It will only rub when you hit a nice dip or bump but don't worry you're not alone.

DITTO... and I will add this: remove your jack, bolts, etc. from the drivers side wheel well. At least install C/S or small head bolts (if you dont remove the jack).

Re: 20 inch wheels with 5/7 drop
Thanks again for all the info. I am going with the 255/40/20's up front. I need the ground clearance for my lower control arms.I will take the jack out so I dont have to worry about that . I guess I will take my chances with the inner fender clearance. Thanks again.

Re: 20 inch wheels with 5/7 drop
have 5.5 front drop with 8 in. tt 2,s 255x17x50 . Only problem is lower control arm rub when making sharp turn ( NEED TO GRIND OFF A LITTLE WHERE THE BACK OF THE RIM RUBS & SHOULD BE OK ) No problem with upper fender rub , still have bump stops on . if bump stops were removed im sure tire would hit fender well on bumps & dips . Hope this helps . You also can cut a little off bump stop & be ok.
