Re: Zed rear with a notch?

I centered the pipe over the spring pocket and traced around it with a soap pencil. Then I whacked it out with a torch. I'd also suggest welding something on the arm where the bushings are from one side to the other to keep it from flexing any.

Why are you modifying the stock pocket? I doubt you gain any drop by doing so. In fact, I had 1" cups on the bags in mine when it still had stock arms.

I didn't gain any drop, but it gives me a lower ride height with a more stiff spring rate.

Question Re: Zed rear with a notch?

I was hoping that I could keep the stock rear shock support but the rear end was hitting it so I removed it and boxed it in on both sides.I also removed, chopped and tunneled the rear trailling arm cross member and installed it an 1 1/2" back to try to keep the rims centered in the well.I flipped it so the mounts would be higher to try to help the pinion angle. The frame is on resting on the transmission crossmember.I'm going to flip it and weld it in 3 1/2" higher to match the 3 1/2" front Z.

Re: Zed rear with a notch?

I ended up using a 68 c-20 front clip and cab as to not tear apart the 67.I'm glad I did.
