Anybody install sway bars on the I-5 corridor (Seattle to Corvallis, OR)
Yes, I got front and rear sway bars and hardware from Wes! My mechanic has decided he does not want to install them so I went to my local Les Schwab and they would not do it either! Anyone know of anyone who would do this for me this winter!? Thanks in advance..........theo goebel-Seattle

Theo,
If you have a drill and some wrenches, you can do the front one easily. The rear I don't know about. Jason

I just had to do it. I was going to wait a little while for the front sway bar, but when I saw this post I the saw the positive reactions. I knew it would improve the stability, but how much? So I went to the junk yard and pulled a 1 1/4" sway bar off a 1974 GMC and put it on my 1972 GMC and the ride was unbelieveable! This is absolutely the single most inexpensive and worthwhile upgrade I could have possibly put on my truck. To pay $38 for this upgrade and get these results is amazing. I just had to get the surface rust off, remove the 2 rivets, paint the bar and brackets and bolt it on. The bushings even had alot of life left on them. The front end stays so straight and flat around the corners. I will definitely look to put a rear system on next. Thanks for the assurance on this post guys!

Theo, I second what others said. You can install it yourself very easily. Just center punch the rivets on the front crossmember and drill them out. I used a 3/16" bit and then went to a 3/8" bit. Then knock the rivet heads off with a hammer and chisel and punch the through. All the other hole should be there already.
I'm no mechanic, and it only took me about an hour to install the whole set up. Then you can brag to the girls ( or women ) how handy you are! Brian

I bought one off of a buddy for $50 with poly bushings. I knew it was going to make a difference but after reading all of these posts I want to run out to the garage and put it on tonight.
