Dear Bill:
Hey. Hope this finds you well. I have been trying to write to you since Trai (TDave00) and Rick (MotorSeven) visited but I can't find words that come close to how I feel. I had taken a job clearing a small lot in exchange for some cement blocks I need out here, and when I finished up there, the girls agreed to stay with my mom for me to get away and think of what to say to you. Wednesday night I had to rush home because they had to call 911. Mom appeared to be having some kind of seizure. Her fists were clenched and she wouldn't respond to them. Apparently, she suffered a "mini" stroke. She is doing much better and I'll be bringing her home this afternoon. The ordeal left her awfully weak and the left side of her face has turned down slightly, I'll be taking her to a Neurologist next week but they think she should recover well. Bless their hearts, the girls were terrified but they're ok. If everyone could say an extra prayer for my mom, I would appreciate it. Her name is Iris.
I could tell that Rick really wanted to buy everything I had to help me. He felt awful not to be able to, but I totally understand why he couldn't. There's just way too much stuff, and his idea of a weekend flea market is great. If it's still being considered, any weekend is fine with me whether it's soon or in the future.
During Trai's visit, I was so nervous about what he would think when he saw the state my place is in right now. When I listed my trucks on ebay, I pictured a few car haulers rolling up to take everything and that would be the end of it. I would get my place back in the shape it was when Clyde (my husband) was here, and then start working on the 67 with my grandson who's 4. He loved Clyde VERY much and he remembers working on paw-paws trucks with him, and I have to keep him alive in his heart!!
Well, instead, I met you and you cared enough to share my situation with the other awesome members on your forum. Trai touched my heart deeply when he said that God sent you all to help me and that no matter what I said, it was gonna happen anyway. If that statement was a representation of how you all feel, then I am humbled and eternally grateful.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for caring about my family!
Dawn
