Re: Ebay - Chevy truck widower selling their whole lot

Here's an email I just got from Dawn. I posted the pictures in the build thread.

Dear Trai:
We grabbed the camera as they loaded Ol' Girl on the trailer. I don't know why the pictures blurred so badly, but i wanted you to have them anyway. Again, ya'll have no idea how much all this means to me. You know, I was pretty puzzled that my grandson(Aaron) was acting up yesterday, but I attributed his behavior mostly to all the excitement, plus he hadn't been feeling well anyway. When the other guys got here and started to get the truck ready to go on the trailer, he got worse. He was shooting me little stares when i tried to make eye contact with him, and the thing that bothered me the most was that he didn't want to spend the night with me because he usually spends 7 nights a week here. At 7:30 this morning, I heard a little knock at my door. He came in and sat in my chair with me and just started sobbing. Even though he's only 4 he remembers so many detailed things about his Paw-Paw! His father abandoned them before he was born and Clyde naturally stepped in. They were inseperable. It took me forever to make him understand that I had to sell some of the trucks, but I promised I would NEVER sell Ol' Girl because she was special and she was ours to keep for ever and ever! God love him, he finally understood that and then what does he see yesterday? He sees that all of the other trucks are still here and a bunch of guys are taking OUR truck away!! We talked about it for a couple of hours and I think he understands. It would surely help if you guys could send us a picture now and then of her so I could reassure him that she's coming back to us.
One more thing before I let you go... my girls told me they had tried to give both you, and Rick a "Couple of dollars" they had saved to help on gas but that neither of you would take it so they went to the grocery store after everyone had gone last night. Well, they came back with a lot more than a couple of dollars worth of stuff, but their not talking. I don't know what went on there but if any of ya'll "padded" their gas fund, thank you. Please stay safe, and keep in touch.
