Re: Im bummed
I`ve never had a 305,but if it runs ok,what the hay?
I know a guy that ordered a new`71 Malibu 350 convertible and still owns it.He noticed it lacked power and took it in to the dealer. It came through with a 307.They swapped in the proper motor. I wonder how many other vehicles come through with a different motor than we assume it has because that`s what it was supposed to have. This numbers running is more of a collector thing. No one did that back when there was no question the motor was in it`s original bay and before motors changed.

Re: Im bummed
Not to mention a dirty word, but F$%rd did a pretty decent job on the 302...

On the original issue...take the money you save on gas throw it in a jar, when it gets full then you have a decision to make...dump the slightly underpowered 305 that just saved you a jar full of money OR fulfill your testosterone enduced urge to go with the 350.
