well, it'll get you around town... I would just patch the holes in the floor and bed, the more you take apart the less likely it will go back together very soon...

of course you know that the side markers on a 68 were only reflectors (front and rear) no turn signals in them... 69 and up has bulbs installed...

I am thinking that that is not the stock carb for a 68. I dont remember the 68 6cyl. having egr also. It does sound like your choke is not set right I would go back to the rodchester monojet with the manual choke then all that is needed is to hook up the vacuum advance.

yep, thats what Im gonna try to do- Ive got a bid on one on ebay that has all the external choke parts and linkage with it- I hope I win...

well, it's too nasty still to see any numbers lol, but it has the smaller pushrod covers, so it's a 250

I have a '69 and my sides are only reflectors also. Lights started in '70. Unless maybe they were on higher end trucks. Mine is a C/10 short step side pretty plain. I've had it since '70, so I know the fenders are stock.
