Thanks guys! I think I'll go with the black painted and either get em coated or just run em for a few years and replace if they start to fall apart.

I took off my 8-year-old Hedman headers and had them sandblasted to bare metal. Then I airbrushed them with Techline Coatings satin black ceramic coating, that I got from Eastwood's. After they dried for a day, I baked the headers at 500* for an hour in my Mom's old Hotpoint oven. [No longer used for food.] I liked the result.

Every 25 years I like to rebuild that 292, whether it needs it or not.
