Re: Drop center crossmember ...

Well... it's still monday in Arizona!

Here's some pics of the version that is NOT set-up with the trailing arm tabs. This version is designed to bolt into the factory holes and has a mount for the carrier bearing:

The version that employs the trailing arm tabs is almost identical. The obvious difference is that it has tabs for the trailing arms, and it's frame mounting plates are a bit longer and have more mounting holes allowing the user to adjust the location of the crossmember and center the wheels when compressed.

The non-trailing arm version runs $199.

The trailing arm version runs $249.

Availabilty will depend on my work load at the time, but worst case would be 3-5 business days until it shipped.

Keep in mind, this unit is designed to use a two-piece drive-shaft... don't think there will be enough room with a one-piece.

took the words right out of my mouth.

Also, I know that when I set up my 2 piece driveshaft, with the amount of drop I have, I had to alter the location of the carrier bearing to get the proper driveline angles. Is there adjustability in bearing placement? (in regards to vertical mounting height?

So it isn't a direct competitor to the ECE or the CPP unit due to it's higher price and it's requirement to use a 2 pc. drive shaft?

Please see my original question. <sigh>

Not trying to "compete" with ECE or CPP they both make a nice product that meets certain needs and criteria. This unit has some options that meet the needs of many of my customers and others who would like to sit extremely low and not cut up the cab.

I know when running an ECE or CPP crossmember it is still necessary to "make modifications" when using a one piece driveshaft and combining extreme lowering. A one piece drive-shaft may be a possibility with this application in certain ride heights or ranges of travel. I have not fit this unit up with a one piece drive-shaft and therefore have NO feedback on this possibility.

I didn't mean to whore your thread, and honestly didn't even fully read your first post... just got a little sucked into some of the other's comments and questions. For those with more questions or comments please refer them to the new thread I have just started.

Re: Drop center crossmember ...

Shane, I'm running AirRide's tubular trailing arm x-member with factory arms. BUT I (still) haven't driven the truck or even installed the driveshaft. If I remember correctly, AirRide is a board vendor now, correct?
